One hospitalized after striking median on I-55

ST. LOUIS, MO – One woman has been hospitalized after colliding with a median along I-55 during Wednesday morning’s rush-hour.

According to an official accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when 41-year-old Jennifer Laflen had a medical emergency while driving her vehicle along I-55 near Lindbergh Boulevard.

Laflen traveled across three lanes of traffic before sticking a concrete barrier and coming to a stop. She was transported to Mercy South Hospital in serious condition. No updates on her condition are available at this time.
