ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – One man was sent to the hospital after a crash at a construction site along I-70 Thursday afternoon.
According to an official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near 5th Street at about 1:00 p.m.
Troopers say the incident occurred when 33-year-old Sonny Briggs lost control of his 2002 Toyota Camry and overturned after striking a concrete wall.
Briggs was transported to SSM Health DePaul to be treated for moderate injuries.
Details regarding what made him lose control of the vehicle are still under investigation.
