Oklahoma woman killed in rollover accident on I-44 near Leasburg

LEASBURG, MO (CRAWFORD COUNTY) – A woman from Oklahoma was killed in a rollover accident on I-44 in Crawford County early yesterday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on eastbound I-44, near Exit 214, at 4:42 a.m., when the driver of a 2006 Ford Escape, 54-year-old Kelly A. Burgess, of Tulsa, Okla., went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then collided with a fence and a utility pole, then overturned.

Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:55 a.m.

No other people were injured in the crash.
