O’Fallon man, 28, dead in Washington County ATV accident

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO – An O’Fallon man died yesterday evening following a single-vehicle ATV crash in Washington County, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. at New Sugar Creek Road and Cherry Hill Drive, near Murphy Township, which is about three miles southwest of Fenton.

The victim has been identified as O’Fallon man Kyle J. Minor, 28, who was driving a 2002 Polaris 250 Trailblazer ATV. Minor failed to properly round a left-hand curve, and the ATV went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:51 p.m. by Washington County Emergency Medical Services.

The ATV received moderate damage.

Minor was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet at the time of the crash.
