Multiple people injured in police-chase crash on I-70

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Three people were injured in a police-chase crash on eastbound I-70 east of the Blanchette Bridge early Monday morning.

Police were pursuing a 17-year-old driver in a 2013 Infiniti G37 when it ran over spikes causing the left tires to deflate, police report. This caused the Infiniti to travel off the left side of the road, hit a concrete median, travel back onto the road, and head down a steep embankment. The accident happened around 1:59 a.m.

Three occupants in the vehicle were transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for minor injuries. The injured include: 18-year-old La’Quawn Hayes, 20-year-old Jania M. Graham, and 20-year-old Rashad Miller.

No one was wearing a seat belt.

The Infiniti was totaled.
