Motorist injured in rear-end collision in St. Peters

ST. PETERS, MO – A motorist was injured yesterday when he was struck from behind by a vehicle that suffered a mechanical failure, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Charles Williams, 37, was traveling eastbound on N St. Peters Parkway at Harvester Road when his Ford 500 was hit from behind by a 2007 Ford Fusion that had suffered an unspecified mechanical issue. Emergency responders were on the scene by 6:52 p.m., and transported Williams to Barnes-Jewish Hospital St. Peters with minor injuries.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene. The other driver does not appear to have been injured.
