WARRENTON, MO (WARREN COUNTY) – A man from Minnesota was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after a semi-truck overturned on Interstate 70, according to a crash report published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. at the 192.2 milepost of the interstate when a 2020 Volvo tractor-trailer drove off the left side of the roadway.

The driver, 35-year-old Rooble S. Ali, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, lost control of the vehicle and overcorrected, causing it to flip over.

The semi-truck then slid down the road and landed on its side.

Ali was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital with serious injuries. He was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The semi was extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
