Mineral Point woman seriously hurt in Hwy 8 rear-end crash

BRETON TOWNSHIP, MO (WASHINGTON COUNTY) – A 30-year-old woman was seriously hurt in a rear-end accident in Washington County yesterday afternoon, according to a crash report published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 8 and Lollar Road at 1:38 p.m. as a 2001 Dodge Caravan as the driver of a 2001 Dodge Caravan, 30-year-old Mineral Point woman Brittany R. Thomlinson, failed to notice a 2007 Hummer H3 stopped in the roadway.

Thomlinson’s vehicle collided with the back of the Hummer, driven by 43-year-old Todd A. Harbison, also of Mineral Point.

Thomlinson was taken to Mercy South for the treatment of serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash, which totaled the Dodge.

Thomlinson was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.
