Man seriously injured in single-vehicle crash near Robertsville

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO — A 58-year-old California resident suffered serious injuries Sunday evening after his vehicle overturned in a crash near Robertsville in Franklin County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Trooper N. A. Schuetz responded to the crash on Woods Road at Highway O at around 8:38 p.m.

The man was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition northbound on Woods Road when he lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the roadway and caused it to run to the left of the roadway. He overcorrected while attempting to right the wheel and instead overturned the vehicle.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries. His condition was not disclosed.

The crash report indicates that high speed played a role in the crash.
