Man seriously injured in motorcycle crash near West Plains

WEST PLAINS, MO — A 32-year-old man suffered serious injuries late Sunday night in a motorcycle accident near West Plains, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened along Highway BB about 3.5 miles north of West Plains and was reported at 10:20 p.m.

The man was traveling northbound along the highway in a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when his vehicle skidded off the roadway, returned to the roadway, then overturned. The rider was reported to not have been wearing a safety device and was ejected from the bike.

State troopers, authorities with Howell County police and crews with Howell County Rural Fire Department responded to the scene.

The motorcyclist was transported by airlift to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with serious injuries. His condition has not been disclosed.
