Man injured in two-car crash on Route Y in St. Francois County

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO — A 62-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision involving another vehicle on Highway Y near French Village, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on a stretch of Highway Y west of Office Road and was reported by Trooper A. D. Pogue at 1:45 p.m.

A 2015 GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound on Highway Y when it failed to yield to a westbound 1996 Chevrolet cargo van, striking the second vehicle on the front left side.

The van’s 62-year-old driver, a resident of Imperial, was transported by a private conveyance to Mercy Hospital South with minor injuries.

The driver of the Yukon, a 15-year-old Hillsboro boy, was not reported injured.

Both vehicles sustained minor damages.
