Man injured in two-car collision on Route DD near Piedmont

PIEDMONT, MO — An 82-year-old man was injured Thursday morning when his car was struck by another vehicle on Route DD near Piedmont, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Trooper K. A. Barnett responded to the scene along Route DD 5 miles east of Piedmont at around 10:00 a.m.

A 2016 GMC Acadia and a 2020 Polaris Ranger were both traveling southbound on Route DD when the Acadia attempted to pass the Ranger while it was turning left, resulting in the collision.

The driver of the Ranger was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. He was reported to have not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Acadia, a 57-year-old woman, was not reported injured.
