Man injured in multi-vehicle collision on I-70 in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, MO — A 30-year-old Columbia man was injured Saturday morning in a rear-end collision involving three vehicles on Interstate 70 eastbound near Wentzville, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-70 at mile marker 194 at around 10:05 a.m.

A 2016 Nissan Rogue, a 2017 Toyota Tacoma, and a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 were all traveling eastbound in the same left lane on I-70 when traffic started to slow. The front of the Ram 3500 struck the back of the Toyota Tacoma, causing the front of the Toyota to hit the back of the Nissan Rogue.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis with minor injuries.

The Toyota Tacoma was totaled in the accident and was towed from the scene. The Nissan Rogue received minor damages and was driven from the scene. The causing Ram 3500 sustained extensive damages and was removed from the scene via private conveyance.
