Man injured after he rear-ends stalled vehicle on MO-364

ST. PETERS, MO – A man was taken to the hospital after he rear-ended another driver Friday afternoon in St. Charles County, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Jungs Station Road and Missouri Highway 364.

The injured man is Robert P. Chandler, 54, of St. Charles. He was driving a 2007 Honda Civic that crashed into the rear of a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado that had stalled in the roadway due to a mechanical issue. The Chevrolet was driven by 53-year-old Kenneth R. Carpenter, of Weldon Spring.

Both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Chandler was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

Carpenter is not reported as being injured.

The Chevrolet was moderately damaged in the collision, and the Honda suffered extensive damage.
