Man in motorized wheelchair killed by hit-and-run driver in Jennings

JENNINGS, MO (ST. LOUIS COUNTY) – A man crossing the street in a motorized wheelchair was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Jennings late last night, according to KSDK.

The crash occurred as the victim was attempting to go across Halls Ferry Road, near Jennings Station Road at about 9:30 p.m.

The victim was then struck by a driver who subsequently fled the scene.

The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, was taken to the hospital, and there he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect and suspect vehicle at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
