Man hospitalized after I-70 eastbound crash near Maryland Heights

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — A 41-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-car collision along Interstate 70 eastbound near Maryland Heights, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Trooper K. G. Barba responded to the crash along I-70 eastbound west of Missouri Route 141 at around 2:30 p.m.

The man was driving a 2006 Infiniti M35 and negotiated an unsafe lane change in the eastbound lanes of I-70, causing the vehicle to strike a concrete barrier. The impact resulted in the vehicle running off right side of the road and striking a ditch.

The man was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.

Crews with St. Charles Fire Department transported the man to SSM Health DePaul Hospital with moderate injuries. His condition was not disclosed.
