Man charged for fatal crash on Stoneywood Rd

SUNSET HILLS, MO – A man has been charged with a fatal crash on Stoneywood Rd that left a 10-year-old boy dead and injured two other children on October 10, KSDK reports.

Christopher Townsend was driving at speeds around 87 mph on Stoneywood Rd, which has a speed limit of 20 mph when he crashed into a large boulder, which caused his vehicle to flip over and land on the roof.

A ten-year-old passenger in the car died from his injuries. Two other children in the vehicle were hospitalized.

Police have charged Townsend with endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death and leaving the scene of a crash.
