Macon man sustains injuries in Lewis County accident

LEWIS COUNTY, MO – A 25-year-old Macon man sustained minor injuries in an accident on Missouri 6 on Tuesday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, William H. Hitchcock, 61, was traveling east on Missouri 6 in a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro. He failed to yield to a 2008 Toyota Sienna, driven by 23-year-old Hadley B. Botkin. The Toyota hit the Chevrolet around 5:15 p.m.

A passenger in the Toyota, Dakota S. Botkin, was seen at Blessings Hospital for minor injuries.

Both drivers and the injured passenger were wearing seat belts.

The Toyota was totaled and the Chevrolet sustained moderate damages.
