Officials have identified the victims of Tuesday’s accident in Kirksville.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m., two vehicles collided in the vicinity of 4700 North Lincoln Street. According to reports, 29-year-old Jeffery Sullivan of Glenwood was driving south when he veered onto the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Jerrin Lee of Kirksville. Lee was immediately taken to the hospital while Sullivan had to be extricated by firefighters before he was transported by EMS personnel. Sullivan was eventually pronounced dead at Northeast Regional Medical Center. The incident is under investigation.
