Juvenile injured after car strikes tree in St. Francois

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO – A 15-year-old boy from Farmington was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash on Laws Road early Sunday morning.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Laws Road about 2 miles south of Route F at about 5:20 a.m.

Troopers at the scene say the 15-year-old boy was behind the wheel of a 2019 Chevrolet Impala when he failed to negotiate a turn and skidded off the roadway. The vehicle then striking an embankment before becoming airborne and striking a tree.

The boy was transported to Parkland Health Center to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the wreck.
