Jefferson County man killed in multi-vehicle collision on I-55 in Imperial

IMPERIAL, MO – A man from Jefferson County was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on I-55 in Imperial late Saturday night, according to KMOV4.

The crash occurred on I-55, south of Imperial Main at about 11:30 p.m., when 40-year-old Jefferson County man Kenneth Tatum lost control of his Chevrolet Cavalier. The Cavalier then collided with the concrete median and was sent back onto the roadway.

Two other SUVs then collided with Tatum’s vehicle.

Tatum died at the scene.

The condition of the other two drivers was not immediately available.
