Defective carriers could cause falls.

Lawsuit News from OnderLaw

Monday, February 10, 2020 – Three types of Infantino soft infant and toddler carriers have been recalled due to a potential for the buckles to break. The recall, issued Feb. 6, 2020, involves about 14,000 carriers sold for $30 to $50 each in Target stores and other U.S. retailers, as well as on Amazon.com, November 2019 through December 2019.

Only the following lots are affected:

  • Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic Carrier Lot 2018 0619
  • Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic Carrier Lot 2018 0719
  • Flip Front2back Carrier 2018 0719
  • Up Close Newborn Carrier 2018 0719

Recalled carriers are black with black straps or gray with black straps. Each is made from cotton fabric with a padded pouch in the front. Product names and lot codes are printed on a label sewn inside the carriers.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, no incidents or injuries have been reported by the San Diego-based company. The recall is precautionary.

If you have a recalled carrier, stop using it immediately. Infantino will replace the carrier free of charge. Contact Infantino at 800-840-4916 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time. You can also visit www.infantino.com and click on “Recalls” for more information.
