WRIGHT CITY, MO – An infant and a 24-year-old Wright City woman were injured in a collision with a semi truck on Tuesday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ashley N. Junte failed to yield to a semi truck as she turned onto eastbound Highway M from Hunt Drive. The westbound semi struck her 2000 Ford F-150 in a 2000 Ford F-150 at about 8:30 p.m.
Junte and an infant in the Ford were transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis. She sustained moderate injuries and the infant sustained minor injuries. Junte was not wearing a seat belt, but the infant was restrained with a seat belt.
The semi driver, 36-year-old John M. Lynch, Jr., was not injured in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt.
Both vehicles were totaled.
