Imperial man injured in Jefferson Co. rollover crash

OLYMPIAN VILLAGE, MO (JEFFERSON  COUNTY) – A man from Imperial was seriously injured Friday morning in a single-vehicle car accident in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 12:51 a.m. on Wegman Road, near Lee Pyle Road, when the driver of a 1997 Geo Metro drove off the left side of the road.

The driver, 28-year-old Tyler J. Light, then overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to roll over an unspecified number of times and was ejected from the Metro.

Light was airlifted to Mercy St. Louis with serious, life-threatening wounds. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

No other people were involved in the collision.
