Illinois man killed in St. Clair tractor-trailer crash

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, MO – An Illinois man was killed as the result of an accident involving a tractor-trailer on I-64 Wednesday night.

According to STL Today, the accident occurred on I-64 near the 13.5 mile marker shortly before midnight. Investigators at the scene believe the driver of a 2017 Lexus collided with the truck in the eastbound lanes of the interstate.

The driver of the Lexus, 36-year-old Ryan D. Marler was killed as a result of the crash. The driver of the semi did not sustain any injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is likely underway.
