Hillsboro driver injured in Jefferson County intersection crash

DE SOTO, MO – A 32-year-old Hillsboro driver was injured in a crash at the intersection of Missouri 21 and Missouri 110 on Sunday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Nicholas T. Wells was traveling south on Missouri 21 in a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu and attempted to turn left onto Missouri 110. He failed to yield to a northbound 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Joshua D. Wood. The front of the Nissan hit the right side of the Chevrolet around 8:18 p.m.

Wood was transported to Mercy Hospital South for moderate injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

MSHP reports both vehicles were totaled.
