UNION, MO – Four people were injured in a rear-end collision on northbound Highway 47 on Thursday night.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 25-year-old Raymond G. Defaux was traveling north on Highway 47 in a 2013 Nissan Versa. A 16-year-old male driver from Union was traveling behind the Nissan in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. The teenage driver failed to keep a proper lookout and rear-ended the Nissan south of Melinda Drive around 5:32 p.m.
Defaux and three passengers in his Nissan were transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries. The passengers were identified as 25-year-old Samantha D. Crosby and two children, ages 3 & 6.
All injured parties and the teenage driver were wearing seat belts.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damages.
