Florida man dies in I-44 wrong-way crash in Pulaski County

ST. ROBERT, MO (PULASKI COUNTY) – A man from Florida is dead after his car collided with another vehicle in a head-on crash in Pulaski County Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the 159 mile marker of eastbound Interstate 44 at 12:19 a.m.

A 2004 Acura driven by 38-year-old Jamie A. Blandon, of Fort Pierce, Florida, was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes of the interstate when it collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe head-on.

Authorities declared Blandon dead at the scene of the crash at about 1:30 a.m.

The driver of the Tahoe, 42-year-old Arthur L. Little, of Fort Leonard Wood, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred. Both vehicles were totaled.
