Five injured following three vehicle crash on I-44

ST. LOUIS, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car accident has occurred on I-44 near mile marker 260.

The accident occurred when a towed unit became detached from a Ford F 150. A pedestrian was in the road attempting to reattach the trailer when a Dodge Dakota rear-ended a Nissan Versa, causing it to hit the towed unit. The towed unit then hit the pedestrian and the Ford.

Five individuals were injured in the crash. Their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.
