Firefighters rescue man from apartment fire at Keokuk St

ST. LOUIS, MO – Firefighters rescued a man trapped in an apartment fire at Keokuk St, near S Compton Ave, on Monday, Fox 2 Now reports.

The fire was started when children started a fire in their bedroom while playing with matches around 2:30 p.m. Their father was asleep at the time, but he was awoken when the mother came home. They then took the children out of the building.

Firefighters rescued a man in the same building but a different apartment that was trapped by smoke.

No one else was injured.
