Fatal crash reported on U.S. 40

KANSAS CITY, MO – Authorities with the Kansas City Police Department are investigating the cause of a Thursday afternoon crash that killed one person.

According to Fox 4 KC, the multi-vehicle crash occurred at about 3:20 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Brentwood Avenue.

Investigators say one person was pronounced dead at the scene while two others were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details regarding an official cause of the crash have not been released.
