Farmington two-vehicle collision injures man

FARMINGTON, MO – An elderly man was hurt in a multi-vehicle collision Friday morning, reports Highway Patrol.

Reports of the accident reached troopers at 7:40 a.m. and they were dispatched to the intersection of Karsch Blvd and State Hwy 00 in St. Francois County.

Troopers found that a Dodge 2500 driven by Dillon Ham, 27, attempted to make a left turn when he struck a Chevrolet 1500 driven by Donald G Thurmond, 83. Both vehicles were moderately damaged.

Thurmond was hospitalized with moderate injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Ham was not injured and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
