Elderly man fatally struck by vehicle on Harman Ln

SHILOH, IL – According to KMOV, a vehicle struck and killed an elderly man on Harman Ln near Raven Oak Dr Wednesay.

James J Bentivoglio, 66, was walking his dog when the collision occurred. First responders were called to the crash site around 8:45 p.m. They pronounced Bentivoglio dead at the scene of the accident. His dog also died in the collision.

Following the incident, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities do not believe impairment or speed were factors in the accident.
