Driver found guilty for fatal 2019 crash

MIDLAND TOWNSHIP, MO – A driver who fatally struck firefighter on Page Ave and N Warson Rd was found guilty of two charges of manslaughter and resisting arrest Tuesday, according to KMOV.

Nicholas Washington, 24, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro when he struck a Chevrolet Cruze driven by Brett Korves, 30, on April 4, 2019. The impact caused Korves’s vehicle to roll over.

First responders pronounced Korves dead at the scene of the accident.

Before the crash, an officer attempted to stop Washington but ended the pursuit when Washington began driving at speeds in excess of 90 mph.
