Driver flees after single-vehicle injury accident southwest of Marshfield

MARSHFIELD, MO – A driver fled the scene of a single-vehicle accident about eight miles southwest of Marshfield this morning that left his passenger injured.

At about 2:15 a.m. today, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper arrived on the scene to find a 1999 GMC 3500 which had run off the roadway and overturned onto its side, injuring a 53-year-old male passenger. The man told the trooper that the driver had fled on foot. He was then transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with minor injuries.

A search for the responsible party is likely ongoing.
