Driver fails to yield, collides with car at U.S. 67 and Montauk Dr

PLATTIN TOWNSHIP, MO – A driver suffered minor injuries when he failed to yield to another car at U.S. 67 and Montauk Dr Tuesday, MSHP reports.

A Ford Fusion driven by David M Smith, 44, was stopped at westbound Montauk Dr and was about to turn left onto U.S. 67 when they pulled out in front of a Chevrolet Venture driven by David D Phillips, 46. The front left of the Fusion collided with the front right of the Venture.

First responders were called to the scene of the crash around 3:50 a.m. They transported Smith to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
