Driver dies after motorcycle crashes into sign

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist died after traveling off Highway 47 and hitting a sign, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Officials report that 28-year-old Garrett Kennedy was driving in a 2004 Suzuki Hayabusa when he veered of the road near Green Cedar Drive and hit a sign Sunday.

The force of impact ejected Kennedy from his vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
