Driver dies after crashing into concrete wall

EAST ST. LOUIS, IL – A woman died when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a concrete wall supporting train tracks, sometime overnight Tuesday.

According to 5 On Your Side News, the fatal crash occurred on River Park Drive east of the Eads Bridge. The driver was traveling too fast around a curve and, lost control, and struck the concrete wall.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. The driver’s name or age have not been released.
