Crash shuts down lane on I-55 NB in southwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle collision Thursday morning closed the right lane on Interstate 55 northbound in southwest St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-55 north of Butler Hill Road and was first reported shortly before 8:00 a.m.

The scene was projected to clear at 8:47 a.m., suggesting a significant accident and response effort.

At 8:10 a.m., the crash was reported to have moved to the right shoulder, though the expected clearance time remained the same.
