Crash closes lane on I-44 EB near Compton Heights in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Friday afternoon closed the right lane on Interstate 44 eastbound the Compton Heights neighborhood of St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The accident happened on a stretch of I-44 eastbound approaching the Compton Hill Reservoir Park at South Grand Boulevard. It was first reported by MoDOT STL shortly after 1:00 p.m.

The scene was projected to clear at 1:35 p.m.

No further details have been reported on the vehicles involved or any injuries sustained.
