Collision shuts down I-70 EB in northwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Monday afternoon closed Interstate 70 eastbound in northwest St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-70 east of Bermuda Road near the village of Norwood Court and was first reported by MoDOT at 1:29 p.m.

Motorists were initially instructed to only use the center lane but as of 1:35 p.m. were told to use an alternate route altogether.

At 1:48 p.m., only the right lane was reported closed, suggesting the other lanes were reopened.

No further information has been shared regarding the vehicles involved in the crash or any injuries sustained.
