Collision causes traffic jam on I-70 westbound in northwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Wednesday morning caused gridlock traffic near the Interstate 70 westbound ramp leading into Missouri Route 141 northbound, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The incident occurred on the stretch of I-70 westbound near Earth City and was first reported at 10:52 a.m.

MoDOT STL projected the crash would clear at 10:47 a.m.

No further updates have been shared regarding the cause of crash or the number of vehicles involved.
