A girl was injured in an accident in Campbell Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred on County Road 237 around three miles east of the city center. At approximately 8:00 p.m., 41-year-old Shaun Rankin tried to move a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle accidentally struck a 5-year-old girl. The minor sustained serious injuries and was taken by EMS responders to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital. Officials are currently investigating the case and will release their findings in due time.
