Bowling Green – Injuries In Rear-End Collision

A motorist was injured in a highway crash in Bowling Green Friday evening.

At 8:04 p.m., a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by 37-year-old Julio C. Moriel Cardoza was traveling south on US Highway 61 when it was rear-ended by a 2005 Cadillac CTS just south of Route HH. The collision forced the pickup truck to swerve wildly and overturn several times, eventually coming to a stop on the northbound side of the highway. The driver of the Cadillac, 34-year-old Lane Renauldo, Jr., was relatively unhurt, while Cardoza sustained significant injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials are still investigating the crash.
