FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL – A female driver fatally struck a pedestrian on IL 161 near Old Lincoln Trail Monday, according to Fox 2 Now.
The driver called 911 after hitting the victim around 9:30 p.m.
Police released the driver after she provided her account of what transpired. They do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
Authorities will release the name of the victim once their family has been notified of their death.
