ST. MARY, MO – A fatal, head-on collision was reported at Rt Z and St. Mary Church Rd Wednesday, according to MSHP.
Billie R Nickelson, 21, was driving Chevrolet Cobalt east on St. Mary Church Rd when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Mack 600 operated by Darrel R Defreitas, 56.
First responders were dispatched to the crash site around 4:50 a.m. They pronounced Nickelson dead at the scene of the accident.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured.
