SUV driver kills 1, injures 2 after colliding with truck on I-44

ST. LOUIS, MO – A person died and two others were injured after an SUV collided with the trailer part of a semi-truck on I-44 Friday morning, Fox 3 Now reports.

According to police, a person was standing near a disabled truck on the section of I-44 near Downtown when a Ford Escape slammed into the truck’s trailer. It is unclear how this injured the victim.

First responders were dispatched to the scened around 10:45 a.m. They transported the victim to the hospital, where they died from the injuries.

The driver of the SUV and another person who was near the truck at the time of the collision were also injured in the incident.

Authorities have not yet provided the exact location of the accident, the identities of the victims, or the current condition of the survivors.
