A female motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Sunrise Beach Sunday evening.
45-year-old Dawn Shipers was riding a motorcycle east on State Highway MM when the vehicle suddenly swerved to the right and crashed. Shipers was thrown off the bike and sustained significant injuries. She was taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. Authorities have yet to release their findings and are still investigating the incident.
