UNION, MO – A 27-year-old Sullivan passenger on a motorcycle was injured after the motorcycle crashed on northbound Missouri 47 on Thursday night.
Samuel L. Wallis, 27, was traveling north on Missouri 47 in a 2009 Harley Davidson, Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. He was following too closely to another vehicle and swerved to avoid traffic ahead. The motorcycle went off the right side of the road and overturned north of College Road around 8:30 p.m.
Olivia L. Beightel was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries. Both she and Wallis were wearing seat belts.
The motorcycle sustained minor damages.
