Semi rear-ends Dodge truck on westbound I-44

VILLA RIDGE, MO – A semi rear-ended a 2000 Dodge 3500 on westbound I-44 at mile marker 251 on Tuesday afternoon.

Police report James M. Key, 62, was traveling too fast for road conditions on westbound I-44 in a semi. Lucas A. Lash, 34, was stopped in traffic on the shoulder in the Dodge truck. The semi slid and rear-ended the Dodge around 12:33 p.m.

Key, of Bradford, TN, was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The semi sustained moderate damages and the Dodge was not damaged.
